INITIATIVES & PROGRAMS
Renaissance exists to serve artists, resource churches, and renew culture through creativity and the gospel. Every program and initiative is designed to build connection, provide formation, and create pathways for artists to thrive both spiritually and vocationally. From regional gatherings and creative cohorts to pop-up outreaches, workshops, and studio projects, Renaissance is cultivating spaces where creativity and mission meet. These initiatives represent the early foundations of a growing national movement: one that equips artists, empowers churches, and reawakens imagination across Canada.
Year 1 Renaissance Initiatives
These are some of the initiatives and ministry directives we have that will govern our first year as a missions project. We have many more to come in the coming years.

Renaissance Creative Pop-Ups are mobile, missional outreaches designed to meet artists where they already are. Partnering with youth centres, community hubs, and local organizations, these pop-ups create safe, welcoming spaces for emerging creatives to experiment, learn, and connect. The Creative Pop-Up is designed to meet artists where they are at, generate conversation around the arts and faith, and ideally, serve as an entry point for discipleship.

The Renaissance Creative Leadership Podcast has been a vital part of Phase 1 of our Renaissance initiatives, serving as a catalyst for rich theological conversation around the arts and their place within the Church. Through thoughtful dialogue with pastors, theologians, and creatives, the podcast has created a space where questions of calling, beauty, culture, and spiritual formation are explored with both depth and accessibility. Each episode helps bridge the gap between artistic practice and ecclesial life, inviting listeners to imagine how creativity can serve the mission of God and enrich the life of the Church. In doing so, the podcast has become one of our earliest and most impactful tools for equipping leaders, shaping culture, and laying the theological foundation for the movement we’re building.

The Well is Renaissance’s recurring regional gathering where artists, creators, and storytellers come together for community, encouragement, and spiritual renewal. These evenings create margin for honest conversation, collaboration, and prayer: a place where creatives can be known, nourished, and strengthened. The Well fosters belonging while also cultivating imagination, helping artists find both support and a shared sense of purpose as they pursue their craft and calling.

Renaissance partners with churches across Canada to help them cultivate environments where creativity can flourish. Through training, coaching, and customized support, we equip pastors and creative leaders to disciple artists, launch creative ministries, and integrate the arts into the mission of the church. From workshops to leadership development to strategic consulting, our goal is simple: to help churches raise up, empower, and release the next generation of artists who will shape culture with the hope of the gospel.
